Medicare Advantage with Prescription Drug Plan
Medicare Advantage prescription drug (MAPD) plans are a type of Medicare Advantage plan with prescription drug coverage. Prices vary but can be very affordable. You must have Medicare Part A and Part B to get this plan. Some include Dental/Vision, Part B payback or other benefits.
Medicare Supplemental Plan
Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) is extra insurance you can buy from a private health insurance company to help pay your share of out-of-pocket costs in. Original Medicare. These plans do not have a Prescription Drug Plan included. Parts A and B are needed for these plans.
Medicare Prescription Drug Plan
A Medicare Prescription Drug Plan would be necessary if you have a Supplemental Plan so as not to be penalized by medicare. There are many choices available and several are affordable.
